Where is Shore House Canna located?
You’ll find us in the heart of West Cape May at 124 Sunset Blvd, West Cape May, NJ 08204. We’re a quick trip from Cape May, the Wildwoods, and the rest of the South Jersey Shore. Give us a call at (609) 600-3452, or learn more about our shop and our West Cape May community.
What are your hours?
Our in-store hours are Monday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Our Roll-Up Window stays open a little longer, every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and delivery runs daily from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Hours can shift on holidays, so it’s always smart to check our website or Google Business Profile before you head over.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
No appointment needed, walk-ins are always welcome! You can also skip the wait by placing an order on our online menu and picking it up in-store or at the Roll-Up Window.
What is the Roll-Up Window?
The Roll-Up Window is our express pickup window at the back of the store, open every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, an extra hour before and after our in-store hours. Place your order online, choose pickup, and grab it at the window without leaving your car. It’s the fastest way to shop with us. Learn more on our pickup & delivery page.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes! We deliver every day from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a $100 minimum order. We currently deliver from West Cape May up to Ocean City, including Cape May, Lower Township, Middle Township, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle, the Dennisville area, and Ocean City. Just enter your address at checkout on our menu to see if you’re in our delivery zone. Please use the name on your ID when placing a delivery order.
Is there anything I should know before my first visit?
Just bring a valid, government-issued photo ID showing you’re 21 or older, we’ll scan it at the door. It’s also smart to bring a backup form of payment. New Jersey Cannabis Laws, Age & ID
How old do I have to be to buy cannabis in New Jersey?
You must be 21 or older to purchase adult-use (recreational) cannabis in New Jersey. There are no exceptions, regardless of whether the product is for you. You can read the state’s rules on the NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission site.
What ID do I need to bring?
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID that shows your name, date of birth, and photo, and proves you’re 21+. We accept:
- U.S. driver’s license or state-issued ID card (any state)
- U.S. passport or passport card
- Valid international passport
- U.S. military ID
We’ll verify your ID before you shop, so keep it handy.
Why is my ID scanned?
New Jersey requires dispensaries to verify age digitally with an ID scanner. It’s a quick step at the door, required by state regulations for every customer.
Do you serve out-of-state visitors?
Absolutely. New Jersey’s adult-use law lets anyone 21+ with a valid government-issued photo ID buy cannabis, no matter where they live, perfect for your Shore vacation. Keep in mind that cannabis purchased in New Jersey must be consumed in New Jersey; it’s illegal under federal law to carry it across state lines, even to another legal state.
How much cannabis can I buy at one time?
Under New Jersey law, an adult-use customer may purchase up to the equivalent of one ounce per transaction:
- Up to 1 ounce (28.35 g) of dried flower
- Up to 5 grams of concentrate/extract
- Up to 1,000 mg of THC in ingestible products (edibles/beverages)
You can combine these categories in a single order, and our budtenders will help you stay within the state’s 1-ounce purchase limit.
How much cannabis can I legally possess in New Jersey?
Adults 21+ may possess up to 6 ounces of cannabis at any given time. Since that’s well above the one-ounce-per-transaction purchase cap, you can build up your supply over multiple visits.
Can I grow my own cannabis at home in New Jersey?
No. Unlike some states, New Jersey does not allow home cultivation for recreational or medical use, all legal cannabis must come from a licensed dispensary.
Can I drive after using cannabis?
No. Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal in New Jersey and is treated like any other DUI. Have a plan to get home safely before you consume. The state shares more on its Don’t Drive High page.
Can I take my purchase to another state?
No. Federal law prohibits transporting cannabis across state lines, even between two states where it’s legal. Enjoy your purchase here in New Jersey before heading home.

Do you sell weed edibles like brownies or cookies?
Yes! We do sell cannabis brownies and cookies in addition to gummies, soft chews, lozenges, and infused beverages. Browse the edibles and beverages sections of our menu for current options.
Do you carry Delta-8 or other hemp-derived products?
No. As a licensed adult-use dispensary, we sell regulated, lab-tested cannabis, not unregulated Delta-8 or gray-market hemp products. Buying from a licensed retailer means you know exactly what you’re getting. Here’s why buying licensed matters.
Are your products lab tested?
Yes. Every product sold in a licensed New Jersey dispensary must be tested by a state-licensed independent lab for potency and contaminants such as pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, and residual solvents. Results are tied to each product’s batch number on the packaging, and each of our product batches comes with a COA.
How do I know what’s right for me, especially as a first-time customer?
The golden rule is start low and go slow. Tell your budtender what you’re after—better sleep, less stress, more focus, social vibes, or a relaxed beach evening—and they’ll match you with a product, strain, and dose that fits. Keep in mind each product hits differently: with edibles, wait at least a couple of hours before taking more, while with flower you’ll usually feel the effects within about 15–20 minutes. What’s the difference between indica, sativa, and hybrid?
Think of it as a spectrum of vibes. Sativa strains tend to bring bright, uplifting energy, great for creative days and outdoor adventures. Indica strains lean toward deep relaxation and calm, perfect for winding down. Hybrids land in the middle, blending both. These are helpful shorthand, but modern cannabis is really about cannabinoid and terpene profiles, so our budtenders can recommend based on the experience you want, not just the label.
Do you sell CBD or wellness products?
Yes. We carry CBD-forward and balanced options for customers who want wellness benefits with little to no high, including topicals and tinctures. Note that anything sold at our licensed dispensary still requires you to be 21+, even when THC content is minimal.
Cuzzzy: Our House Pre-Roll
Does Shore House Canna have its own products?
Meet Cuzzzy. Introduced to the Jersey Shore in 2025, Cuzzzy is our house pre-roll and a celebration of South Jersey’s Exit Zero beach culture. If you’ve spent time between South Philly and the Shore, you’ve heard someone holler “Yo Cuz!”, that’s the vibe.
What is Cuzzzy?
Cuzzzy is a 1-gram, high-potency infused pre-roll made with naturally derived plant terpenes that give it a hint of orange, inspired by an Orange Crush soda on a warm summer day. It’s built to share, easygoing, social, and made to be passed around at a beach sunset or a lazy evening with friends.
Where can I buy Cuzzzy?
You’ll find Cuzzzy on our menu for in-store pickup, the Roll-Up Window, or delivery. Availability can rotate, so check the menu for what’s in stock, or learn more on the Cuzzzy page.
Payments, Pricing & Taxes
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and Visa debit. Because of federal banking restrictions, traditional credit cards generally can’t be used at cannabis dispensaries. Cape Island internet can be spotty and debit networks occasionally go down, so it’s always smart to bring cash as a backup. An ATM is available if you need it.
Why can’t I use a regular credit card?
Cannabis remains federally illegal, so the major card networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) don’t allow their credit cards to be used for cannabis purchases. This is an industry-wide restriction, not a Shore House Canna policy.
What taxes will I pay?
Adult-use cannabis in New Jersey is subject to the state sales tax of 6.625% plus a local cannabis transfer tax of up to 2%, depending on the municipality. Taxes are itemized on your receipt. Registered medical cannabis patients are exempt from state sales tax on cannabis, one of the biggest reasons to register if you qualify.

- 15% Cape May County Resident, First Responders, Nurses, Doctors, and Teachers
- 10% Medical Card Holders, Seniors and Hospitality
Bring valid documentation to apply your discount at checkout. Discounts generally can’t be combined with other promotions, ask your budtender about the best available offer.
Do you have a first-time customer discount?
No. We do not have a first-time customer discount.
Consumption & Safe Use
Where am I allowed to use cannabis in New Jersey?
You can consume cannabis on private property with the owner’s permission. Public consumption isn’t permitted, and you can’t use cannabis in a vehicle, even as a passenger. If you’re renting, check with your landlord first, since property owners can prohibit cannabis use.
Can I bring my purchase home in my car?
Yes. Keep it sealed in its original child-resistant packaging, store it in the trunk or somewhere out of the driver’s reach, and don’t open or consume it in the vehicle.
How should I store my cannabis at home?
To keep products fresh and safe, store them in their original child-resistant packaging in a cool, dark, dry place. If there are children, pets, or anyone under 21 in the home, lock your products away. Edibles in particular should never be left out where they could be mistaken for a regular snack.
I’ve never tried cannabis before. Where do I start?
Tell your budtender it’s your first time, we love this question. We’ll usually suggest starting with a low-dose edible (around 2.5–5 mg THC), a balanced product, or a small amount of lower-potency flower, and waiting to see how it feels before taking more. Set and setting matter, so if you’re not at home, make sure you have a safe way to get there. Our education content is a great place to learn the basics.
Medical Cannabis Patients
Do I need a medical card to shop at Shore House Canna?
No. We’re an adult-use dispensary, so anyone 21+ with a valid ID can shop. That said, registered New Jersey medical cannabis patients get a 10% discount with us and are exempt from state cannabis sales tax, real savings that add up.
What are the benefits of a New Jersey medical cannabis card?
You can read more about holding a medical cannabis card in New Jersey here. We are not a medical cannabis dispensary at Shore House Canna, we’re recreational only. While medical card holders are not tax exempt and we are not able to sell more than an ounce at a time we do offer a 10% discount to medical card holders, seniors and hospitality workers.
How do I get a New Jersey medical cannabis card?
Get certified by a New Jersey–licensed provider (telehealth visits are available for qualifying patients), then register online through the New Jersey Medicinal Cannabis Program. The digital card is typically free and valid for two years. Bring your card along with your ID to receive your discount and tax exemption.

How do I place an online order?
Browse our live menu, add items to your cart, and choose pickup, Roll-Up Window, or delivery at checkout. We’ll let you know when it’s ready. For in-store and window orders, bring your ID and payment to complete the purchase in person, orders aren’t paid for online.
How long are pickup orders held?
We hold pickup orders through our posted business hours on the day they’re placed. If you can’t make it, give us a call at (609) 600-3452 and we’ll do our best to help. Unclaimed orders are returned to inventory at the end of the day.
Can someone else pick up my order for me?
No. New Jersey law requires the person buying the cannabis to present their own valid 21+ ID at checkout, so we can’t release an order to anyone else. Please use the name on your ID when you order.
