Cape May Court House is where the county does its business, from the county government offices on Moore Road to the old courthouse on Main Street. It’s also home to about 5,600 residents in the 08210 zip code. When you’re ready to shop, Shore House Canna is about 18 minutes south at 124 Sunset Blvd in West Cape May.
Cape May Court House is part of Middle Township, which sits inside our daily delivery area. Prefer to pick up? Order online and grab it at our Roll-Up Window on your way home.
Court House packs a lot into a small downtown. A few local favorites before you head our way:
The zoo on Route 9 North is free to visit and home to more than 550 animals from about 250 species. USA Today 10Best readers ranked it the No. 5 free attraction in the country in 2026. The grounds also include the Tree-to-Tree Adventure Park.
The old Cape May County Courthouse on North Main Street dates to 1848 to 1850 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The National Park Service record lists Daniel Hand as its architect.
The museum on Route 9 North gives tours of the 1704 Cresse home and its 1830 Holmes addition, along with the Townsend carriage shed and the Smith barn.
The township describes downtown Main Street as less than a mile long with Victorian-era roots. The Cape May Court House branch library sits on Mechanic Street, the same street that puts you on the Parkway when it’s time to drive down.
Most Court House shoppers take the Parkway, and it’s an easy run. From downtown, follow East Mechanic Street to the Garden State Parkway south. Ride the Parkway about 9 miles to its end, where it turns into Route 109, then follow Route 109 into Cape May and take Lafayette Street to Sunset Blvd. The whole trip is about 12.6 miles and 18 minutes in normal traffic, and the Parkway charges a toll.
